    The Institute for State Effectiveness (ISE) invites qualified candidates to apply for positions of Fellow, Senior Fellow, Adviser and Senior Adviser, to join ISE's fiscal policy advisory team in field missions to:

    Facilitate effective policy dialogue with government counterparts by providing timely technical advice and analysis; Work with ministry departments to implement budget and other accountability reforms, including performance management systems for fiscal performance improvement.

     

    All candidates should be willing to commit to a minimum period of one year. Fellows and Senior Fellows should be willing to commit to a minimum of three in-country visits of approximately 2-3 weeks each over the course of the year. Advisers and Senior Advisers should be willing to commit to at least four advisory visits of 4-6 weeks each, or potential long-term advisory positions. Familiarity with GASB and GFS, as well as fluency in a second language (such as Spanish, Arabic or French), preferred.

     

    Candidates should submit a CV and cover letter detailing previous experience working on government, budget and public financial management reforms; experience with government counterparts and/or reform teams in country; and certifications/specializations. During the interview process, ISE will brief candidates on the fiscal policy advisory team's work.
