    $66,809.60 - $89,564.80 Annually

    Metro is looking for a Budget/Financial Analyst to join the Budget & Finance Team supporting the Planning & Development and Research Center Departments. The successful candidate must be comfortable supporting work of advanced complexity. This position will report to and provide support to the Planning & Development Finance Manager.

    The individual in this position will support annual budget development, perform financial analysis as needed and manage financial oversight of multiple contracts. This individual will also provide financial advice and support to numerous department staff. This requires the ability to work efficiently and prioritize work responsibilities. The individual must be self-driven and interested in finding areas for improvement, developing processes and using financial analysis to drive operational decisions.

    The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using multiple financial systems. A background in governmental, non-profit or event/program-driven finance is expected. Interest in Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) operations is a plus!

    • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field, AND
    • Three years of general administrative, governmental or contract administration experience; OR
    • Any combination of experience and education that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and ability required for the job.  

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience performing similar duties in a public organization at a senior level
    • Experience with a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and federal grant compliance.
