    We seek an experienced and qualified individual for a meaningful role as a Associate Accountant (PCN 127106), within the Fiscal Services Division at the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. This position is located at 410 Capitol Avenue in Hartford. This is a full-time, first shift, 40 hours per week position, with a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
    • Provide fiscal and administrative support to Program Managers in applications budgeting, accounting, and reporting
    • Work closely and collaboratively with all levels of the organization agency-wide
    • Assist in the realignment of the current SID based responsibilities toward a functional based assignment creating Subject Matter Expert (SME) bench strength
    • Assist in the development and creation of a single source staffing monitoring tool for an efficient assessment of current filled positions, vacancies, and turnover analysis allowing for greater projection visibility 
    • Be responsible for auditing of Contract Funds Status Report (CFSR) submissions from the facilities to quickly and efficiently head off errors and irregularities and allow for timely submission of consolidated reports to the Office of Policy and Management (OPM)
    • Assist in the creation of new management tracking reports for accounts without current management reports.
    • Assist in the creation of management reports based on Areas of Responsibility (AOR) for program managers who currently manage programs funded from numerous sources. This will allow for improved program insight and monitoring.
