Position Title: Policy and Budget Analyst

As the Policy and Budget Analyst you will work with state agencies throughout the budget development process and help agencies apply statewide policy to build the Agency Request Budget. You will examine agency requests and make recommendations to the Governor for development of the Governor's Budget. You will represent and explain the Governor's budget recommendations to the Legislature and other groups. You will also work with state agencies in the execution of their budgets. You will monitor agency budget performance, approve or deny allotment of agency funds, analyze agency program and staffing requests, and make recommendations on agency requests to the Legislative Emergency Board or Interim Joint Ways and Means Committees.

What Are We Looking For?
To be considered for this position you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Seven years of experience and responsibility: (a) analyzing information from complex statewide systems; (b) identifying organization wide financial issues; (c) generating alternatives and implementing solutions to resolve these issues; and (d) building consensus and consistency across entities with unrelated missions.
