    Position Purpose

    The College Budget Officer reports to the Chief Financial Officer.  The primary work of the position is facilitating the development, implementation and monitoring of the college budgets.  The position has broad functional and leadership responsibility in the administration of the college budget.  The College Budget Officer communicates with internal and external constituents, recommends policies and procedures, performs fiscal and legislative analyses, and prepares and reports on complex budget analyses.  This position works closely with divisional budget staff and the President's Executive and Senior Leadership teams.

     

    The college's total biennial operating budget is approximately $100 million.  The College Budget Officer leads development, monitoring, and management of the college's operating, grants, and auxiliary budgets.  In developing the college budgets, this position consults directly with the President, the Chief Financial Officer, and the President's Executive and Senior Leadership teams.  One Budget Analyst position reports to the College Budget Officer.

     

    This is a full-time, overtime-exempt position on the Olympia campus of The Evergreen State College. This position is exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules and the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime requirements.

     

    Salary and Benefits: $8,396 – $8,851 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
