The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as an Associate Accounts Examiner (PCN 117035). This position is a key role and will help support our Audit Division within the DMHAS Office of the Commissioner. Find out more information on this great role below!
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Work Shift: First shift, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Location: 410 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Performs detailed, complex examination of the financial reports of not-for-profit recipients of purchase of service contracts
- Assist in serving as a liaison with other agency divisions, and with outside recipients to resolve questions and issues
- Prepare and review correspondence, preliminary findings, and draft reports
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and developing annual internal audit plans
- Assist in overseeing and performing internal audits of agency operations, and contract audits of providers
- Assist in preparing reports used to monitor and track activities
- Assist in writing internal audit reports
- Assist in serving as an audit liaison with the Auditors of Public Accounts
