The Economist provides forecasts and tracks diverse state tax revenues and researches how other changes might affect revenues. The position presents findings and recommendations to the Governor and his staff, the budget director and deputies and presents and defends revenue forecasts to the state's Economic Forum.
Masters Degree in economics, labor economics, econometrics or related field; experience in economic research, model building, forecasting, fiscal and trend analysis. Experience must involve the application of advanced statistical, mathematical and economic principals and research and design procedures.
